It’s always kind of interesting when we discover a new social media platform. We register for an account, decorate our profiles and then sit and wonder how to add value to our business using our new account, and there’s usually no easy way to determine this. But the company ran into a speed bump early on.
Snapchat is a unique platform that can help you build an engaged audience, boost brand awareness, and facilitate brand loyalty. In this post, I will share 3 easy ways to use Snapchat for business.
1. Product Demo's
Snapchat offers a robust platform on which you can stage elaborate product launches and demonstrations. This is especially critical when your new product has a bunch of rich features that might be perceived as confusing to some. Amazon Used Snapchat to demo Alexa, the company’s female-voiced Echo speaker. As a result, Amazon got over 6000 mentions in a matter of hours. It helped launch Echo in a positive way.
2. Spark Conversations
Snapshat can offer brands a flexible medium through which to start conversations about the issues of the day. Whether you run a large firm or a small two-man company, take advantage of the tools Snapchat has to offer. You can ask your audience to engage with your company to take a stand against an issue and use this support to gain influence while engaging in meaningful conversations around topics relevant to your brand. You can also use your platform to celebrate an event or bring attention to an issue you think has been ignored by the media.
3. Give Exclusive Previews
Lots of major brands have recently used Snapchat to offer exclusive previews of upcoming product launches to a select group of customers. Acura sent out a short preview video of their new racecar-like NSX to a few fans. The short video featured the car navigating what seemed like a race track.
The video was sent out to 100 followers to generate buzz, and it worked. Acura was named a finalist in the 6th Annual Shorty Awards after successfully integrating Snapchat into its campaign.
