Lately, I have not been watching news or reading them for that matter because in this social media influenced world it is impossible to run away from the ongoings of the day. Thanks to a number of paid hacks selling news as per the cheque clearing thier latest bill. My point being I have not been successfull in running away from the politics of the day and hence the leadership on offer today.
Being a Sunday I will invoke some Biblical examples of leaders: David the Great, who just had to taste the exotic beauty from the far lands; Solomon the Wise, who saw it fit to have countless beauties helping him express his unmatched mental prowess and Moses the Redeemer who in a spit of anger lost his chance to lead his people into the promised land to mention but a few. It is agreed that the three were well qualified leaders and put up as examples we should ape this is inspite of their well documented faults as i have alluded to.
Yet, I find myself running way from the news because of my perceived lack of leadership in the country. The #LipakamaTender is still on, patients and especially the poor also known as "masufferer" are still feeling its effects.Yet, none seems to bothered to put an end to the developing crisis politics does not see this as an election changing issue. So politics unveils development projects and promises more in return for votes; politics threatens more street protests over disagreements on usage of tech and politics recalls members of parliament on an emergency sitting to deliberate onthe election, not the sick just politics.
But Politics is leadership in this country. That means my title is wrong, we cannot find a leader because politics can never be a single individual or qualities, it is a system that needs to be mature, sober and most importantly intelligent aand lately I am not feeling that intelligent vibe. My wait continues..
